ABOUT THIS QUALIFICATION:

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge needed to manage practice and lead others in adult health and social care provision or in children & young people’s services.
It has five pathways – three for adults and two for children and young people:

  • Management
  • Advanced Practice

This qualification provides learners with the skills and knowledge needed to manage, practice and lead others in adult health and social care provision or in children and young people’s services. It has six pathways and covers a wide range of topics including:

  • Safeguarding and Protection
  • Managing care services, change programmes and recruitment
  • Supporting development and partnership working
  • Quality systems and improvement
  • Developing and carrying out policy
  • Promoting and developing best practice
  • Care Management

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

Early year leaders and managers who are looking to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills of leadership and management.

REQUIREMENTS

You should already be working in managerial or leadership position. You must be at least 19 years or above. You should already hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification and be working at that level or above within you setting.

  • Learners must take the 6 Shared Core
  • Mandatory Units, 5 Mandatory Adults’
  • Advanced Practice Pathway Units
  • Learning Guided hours: 709 – 515
  • Credit Value: 90 credits

ASSESSMENT

Working with your assessor, you will have to show evidence that you can meet the outcomes using a variety of methods including being assessed by your assessor, work products, written evidence, projects, previous training or verbal discussions. There are a range of mandatory units which everyone must complete and the optional units allow you to tailor the course to meet your needs and interests.

Course duration: 12 months
